To be clear here, there are people talking about two different things.

Im 99% there was a version of this tape on keypad that you could install/link yourself using your keys. Similar procedure as adding a spare key yourself, but I can not find that currently. If anyone has added/linked a keypad to the Bronco themselves let us know!

The lock and unlock default codes
There is no universal "default" code...

...now, that's not to say that because of the way the keypads work, there's isn't a (relatively) short sequence of numbers a person can input to hit all of the potential combinations... but that'd take way more time than just smashing a window.

Man its a cheap add-on if your like me and use it everyday. If you didn't up front it looks to be a cheap add-on afterwards also.
Its the same cheap look whether ordered or installed at factory.

The best trick I know for the keypad on our '19 Ranger is waiting for the 5th unit to be replaced under warranty.

Of course, the unit is dead right now, having eaten through 3 batteries in a few months so we stopped feeding it.

First TSB hit the part before our Ranger had left MAP but i'm sure they solved all the problems on the new units! Or at least, I hope so, that way our keypad might work one of these years.......

This forum is so weird.

Ya'll have debated whether or not people will steal bolt on fenders and gold emblems then leave your keys in an unattended vehicle.

If my keyfob weighed 10lbs I still wouldn't lock that in my vehicle. I've never once had a vehicle broken into, but if it is, they aren't driving off with it...

As us canucks say, its just not smart hockey

Can't you just use the Ford Pass App?
Ford pass on iphone works real good. I also just discovered that it works on the apple watch! There are only 2 buttons to unlock/lock doors on the watch app - btw I have the celluar watch, I'm pretty sure it would work with bluetooth watch as well.

You cannot link these keypads yourself. With the anti-theft lockout functionality described in this thread, the smarts of the keypad must be flashed into it using Ford’s tools. The old school, use-a-real-key-in-the-ignition vehicles simply used an RF link from the keypad to unlock the doors, just like the old school fobs.

Many may or may not know so thought I would tell a little trick.

With the Bronco and F150 (Maybe others also) if the truck is running or off if you push the 7-8 9-0 at the same time it will lock your ride. I use the to walk in stores or when I get out to lock the doors. Personally I never take the keys out of my ride. I just use the keypad.

On the F150 if after you unlock your truck you push the 5-6 it will open the tailgate if it is a power tailgate.

I have never had the problem of the back door not opening on my Bronco without me having the key also but I have never used the key only the pad.

This is said but when I tested I didn't get this result so test before you trust this.

Changing the code and more.

I love my keypad, especially when I leave my truck while hunting or especially fishing, I've dropped my keys in the water before.

I was saying cheap add-on not looks.

I care more about function.

Just like a person adding a 4in lift to fit 35s or 37s you want a low center of gravity not a high one but it sure does look cool. (I have 37s and just the Sasquatch package and no rub at full articulation again I like that low center of gravity)

Its all in what you want. Not hating just keeping it real.

67 mustang sweet ride BTW I have a 93 cobra.

I have had two ford trucks now and love my key pad, use it all the time. I ordered one on my bronco as well even though it's the stick on kind which i've never had but we'll see how reliable it is. Keypad is great, i can leave my truck running and be able to lock the doors when i have the pup with me. I don't leave the keys in the truck though as i carry them on a carabiner so they just come with me since they are hanging on my belt loop. The honk is kind of annoying but no big deal.

Mine only honks when I do something wrong not sure why people say this but I don't think that is normal. It doesn't do it on my Bronco or F150 platinum unless I do something wrong.

It only honks if i leave it running and get out with the keys with me and close the door. It honks to let you know you have left the truck running but only if you take the keys out and close the door. Thats the case atleast on my 2016 f-150.

I haven’t tried it yet but will the bronco lock with the keypad when the fob is in it? I know that a Lexus will not lock with the fob inside it.
Hold down 7/8 and 9/0 simultaneously with the key fob inside, it will then lock doors.

^ @FourHorses and others answered that question (I had the same question).
