I am 100% set: Badlands -High-Carbonized Gray-33” Optional Rims with MT and ..........leaning towards 2.7 auto (Not sure yet)

I know most of the benefits / negatives. Most of my friends and family think I should get the Auto because I will get tired of the stick.
My first two cars were stick and I loved them both even though I had them for just a few years. I plan to have my Bronco for 10+ years and do not want to regret my decision down the line. This is my 50th B-Day present to myself and do not care about top speed or performance. I feel like to Manual is a lot more fun. I just wish that it came in 2.7 V6. That would make it an easy call for me. What to do..

What do you guys think? Still changing your mind? Or are you 100% one way or another?
had 1 manual vehicle and it was a blast to drive but the Bronco will be a 2.7 Auto.

Manual 100% because I like to feel the power and be the commander of the ship. When I decide how fast the engine spins I am the supreme ruler of the Bronco universe. A slush box can move the rig but it can’t connect me to it and this was proven with my wife’s Jetta recently when I floored it and I felt it “go fast”.

I wanted the manual. Wife wanted the automatic. We compromised, getting the automatic. She does not have the need to know that it includes my sacrifice of having to go squatch and V6...

I was on the fence for a while too, decided on MT though. Even though the Bronco will be my daily, I feel like with the way cars are going (fewer manuals available, future electrification killing manuals all together) it might be getting close to last chance to get one. And in my opinion something like a Bronco deserves a manual

I was originally bummed that the manual was only being paired to the 2.3L and wanted to get the 2.7L, but I want the manual more just for the fun to drive aspect.
I agree. Very bummed that manual was 2.3L only... then I realized, the 2.3L has significantly more horsepower and torque than my '08 Ranger with a 4.0L V6, and I've been very happy with it.
If I decide still need more, the are plenty of improvement options available.
Sadly, I think I will miss the long throw, tractor like shift quality of my Ranger when it is gone.

I'll get an automatic when the government nannies mandate the only options are self driving EV's or mass transit.
Until then I will enjoy being in control of my vehicle, and not having to share the driver's seat with anyone.

I didn't read all the posts. I'll speak in automobile philosophical terms.

If you have to ask complete strangers, yet Bronco enthusiasts, for an answer then you really don't want a manual transmission. I drive 33,000 miles a year just as my daily commute to my office. It's a trip that starts rural and finishes in Northern Virginia in some of the nation's best worst traffic. I'm a dedicated manual transmission driver; I hate automatic transmissions. I paid my way through college driving professionally as a courier in Washington, DC. Yes, in a manual Ford Escort.

I provide these personal experiences to make a point that a true manual trans enthusiast never looks at manually shifting gears as a chore, regardless of the traffic situation. He is a person, that shifting manually is so natural to him that he doesn't even notice; it's like eating soup with a spoon. Worse, if he does drive an automatic in heavy traffic, he finds it tiresome for his right leg to be constantly on the brake holding back the engine torque trying to constantly move the car forward.

So if you have to ask whether you want the manual in the Bronco because it is tied to engine selection, then get the auto trans and larger engine. If the choice of transmission is in consideration of "convenience" of auto shifting gears because of traffic, then get the auto trans.

I'm the opposite of you, I'd rather have the 3.7L but since it lacks the manual trans, the 3.7 is not even in consideration. As others have said, the 2.3L at 270 HP and 310 TQ should have more than enough power for the New Bronco.

The manual will be slower than the V6 auto. The auto/V6 combo is an amazing value. The manual will get old in traffic. These are facts.

I'm still getting the manual.

For the life of me, I just can't figure out how to drive an auto properly.
The manual will get "old" in traffic only if you are a wussy... :D

Every time I drive any vehicle with an automatic, it drives me nuts! I’m always waiting for it downshift or hold a gear.
I decided to buy another manual transmission vehicle. What are my options:
The JL and the Bronco. I was so disappointed when they announced that the 2.7 will not be offered with a manual transmission, but then I compared the JL engine versus the 2.3L.
285HP versus 270HP and in my opinion the most important torque: 260 TQ versus 310 TQ.
This will be plenty of power that I will control and will enjoy on a daily basis.

Love is control, I’ll die if I let go!!!

I’m fairly indifferent about n Manual vs auto. Decided on manual to save money but after the b&p came out and auto seems to g B e included with mid pack, I’ll go that route

my only hesitation with the manual is Ford isn’t offering it with the 2.7. Initially I struggled with making a decision but to me a vehicle like the Bronco just screams for a manual transmission. It’s purpose is fun and engagement and having a manual transmission IS both of those things. Manual makes you more connected to the environment you’re driving in, a participant rather than a passenger.

I will be getting a 2Dr Basemansquatch with a tune after break in to add another 60-80 HP and Torque.
