Welp, looks like someone is going to be fired lol
Eh - the Ford COO says "a much superior product", and somehow TFL gets photos with still a lot covered up and cropped out of Wrangler competitor proof points ...

Yeah - no one is getting fired. Planned leak.

What is concerning is the 2.3L in a bronco with higher end off road capability. Or were these more than one vehicle ...

Body color dash would be AWESOME!

For EPA test cycle it cannot. Easiest defeat is just a trailer connector plug.

I really think people overstate how bad it is though.
exactly. Took about two days to get used it on my wife’s Escape.

I'm speaking new only. I buy a new vehicle every 7 years (or more). Bronco will likely be the very last new gas vehicle I ever buy.
Gas vehicles aren't going away in 7 year much less 15. If your talking all electric your looking at 2040 if even then.

I think the 2.3L is more than adequate throughout the range. Here it is vs the jeep 3.6

I'm not here for adequate, Nick.... hahaha

For real though, the Bronco will only bring good things for everyone, including jeep fans. Next generation wrangler will likely be a huge advancement.

And there will be options for ya! No reason to not have an economical engine choice for at least the mid-tier trims. I am still very torn as to what I’m getting, it will honestly depend on how much the upgraded engine costs. If it’s less than $3k I’ll probably do it.

Which unfortunately makes me believe Ford is keeping their powder dry. We won't get all the goodies on Day #1.

I'm only on board if it pairs with the lower trim, without all the electronic bells & whistles

Is that a Jeep thing? No wonder I don’t understand. ;)
They use it on Jeep, but I believe any vehicle with swaybar disconnect would need to use the same symbol or icon. Much like the on-off symbol, it's an industry standard to avoid confusion across brands.

Sure looks like it! I mentioned that I'd like to take that approach a while ago. Looks like a foam cored composite sandwich.
I sure hope they have finish panels like Jeep. I wouldn't want to be looking at that.

idk, Kumar made it pretty clear in one of the internal meetings that this was absolutely not part of the plan. I think if Ford wanted to they would go more the route of that mud testing video showing the thing in action with only the most deliberate glimpses at certain details. Who knows, its not too long until the reveal anyway.
That would be marketing to only 10% of possible customers. You know most will be at the mall.

Just watched the video and I'm gonna say it. If he is CORRECT..... the kid on the left is my new hero when he says... "I expect the 2 door Bronco to start around 25k" ????
And before you naysayers come along..
Just let me have my moment! ?

The trailer plug is a bad solution. It disables too many other systems.

What are y'alls thoughts on cost between the manual vs. Auto? I'm going with the cheaper option which should be the manual. I'd rather spend the money on other options. I belive the auto is a $2800 option on the wrangler. Interesting to see what it'll be on the Bronco.
