Well, it's a depressing day for me.

I requested a buyback from Ford and began the process of enacting my state's lemon law. My Bronco is at the dealer for the 3rd time to "fix" a leaking hardtop. 3 times I opened my door to find my cupholders and console full of water and the dealer just band-aids it. Now it's also leaking water inside the rear window.

I got fed up and I had to make the call today: get rid of a vehicle that I love because who knows if they'll ever figure out what's wrong with it.

Now, do I order another one?

Why don’t they swap out the top?

I'm dealing with a leaking roof. What were the "Band Aids" the dealer tried so I'm aware if they pull the same BS? Thanks!

The first time they "loosened and tightened some bolts" based on Ford's recommendation. The second time they had to order a "part" that they can't really describe that they said was supposed to be a part of the vehicle at delivery. The answer I keep getting is that "we are doing everything that Ford is telling us to do" but they can't guarantee a Ford technician will come on site to look. That's what I made the decision just to get my money back. Because I no longer trust them. Heartbreaking.

Why would you order another one, chances are it will be no different, otherwise it's an expensive leason.

Thanks for the info.
To answer your first question - I would not order another one. So far to me the 2021-2023 are all the same model year “first year release”. I’d wait until they have confirmed fixes for all the issues or a refresh model year of the 6G. It’s not worth risking more headache to me.
Thanks!

Sorry to hear this. When its leaking…have you yourself examined the panels, the two upfront to see how they are aligned? The leaking is upfront if your cup holders are full of water. I dont think this is an “everyone has this issue” kind of problem. I have the hard top also. My entire first month of ownership was through rain/storms here in LA. Rare for us to get that kind of consistent hard rain but I thought this will be a good test of the hard top. I checked the roof after every drive on the inside and when I got in the vehicle the next morning (with water still on the roof). It never happened 🙏🏼. I think this has to do with the lining on the panels and how they were put on. Try messing with the panels? Have someone run water over the top with you inside and see where the water is coming from. Im betting the water is running down the middle of both front panels and pooling at either end and then somehow finding a entrance. Have you yourself trued messing with this? Then again “cup holder full of water” is allot. Thats not a leak. That should be obvious the moment you run water on the roof. Good luck. Ill follow to learn about where the issue is exactly. Maybe your roof is bent/not molded correctly? So the liners dont fit correctly.

Following. Curious where you have the rear window leak? is it glass on MIC and some crappy assembly of the glass panel?

My MIC top is leaking in the back somehow. Trunk gets soaking wet when parking front in on a slight incline in my drive - parking the other way facing downhill seems to be better? wtf. I removed the trunk liner (the Ford one) and we had a massive storm over the weekend that flooded everything around me... car was bone dry inside. I think theres somethng about the trunk mat (at least in my case) thats leading to water entry. Maybe its the little lip that hangs over the back but it seems like that shouldnt make any difference.

Hi there! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

I'm curious, have you had any luck with the dealer or ford on finding a solution?
We have a 2021 4 door soft top that started leaking 4 months after delivery! The top actually froze which allowed snow to come through the top as it was parked(no wind)! After 2 years and multiple attempts to fix We still have leaks! At one point The dealer sent the bronco to a soft top specialist for help! After a month with a specialist, it was returned only to find more issues and still leaks!
As of today we have had the top replaced 3x with another 5 attempts seperate from top replacements to find a solution! I can't Even count how many days, attempts, and parts that ford has used to fix the bronco! Every attempt has failed and now we have a bronco with interior damage caused by these leaks! I don't want to write a novel so I will list a couple issues and if anyone has a question or wants to talk let me know!
Damage caused by leaks; mold, permanent odors, seats are rusted, screws and bolts rusted, standing water on dash has rusted speakers, wires, and brackets behind dash! 50% of the plastics are broken, windows shake and won't seal due to the poor seals and rust behind door panels! Again I have so much more to say, but my Grammer sucks typing on a phone lol! So please if you have any advise, knowledge about this iwould appreciate it! Also my wife cant drive or ride in the bronco because she breaks out In a rash, she had allergy testing and molds cause this exact rash!
