I just installed the Freespirit Aspen Lite on my stock roof rack. 110lbs, really happy with the quality and very comfortable. I haven’t been out in the woods with it yet but I did spend the night in it out in the driveway!

Does it not flap in the wind a lot and scratch the RTT? I didn’t think this cover was meant to be on while driving

It is meant to be on while driving. But it does flap in the wind a bit. Not as noticeable because there is already a LOT of wind noise with the tent on. The only thing to scratch on the tent is the anodized aluminum as the top of the tent is covered with a material. Without the cover the tent we be exposed to the elements. I've had it up there a while now and its all holding up pretty well.

I guess you could call and ask Freespirit though and see what their recommendation is to be safe. They are pretty customer friendly and helpful.

- iKamper RTT
- Trailrax roof rack with 4x2 gallon Rotopax
- Rhino Rack awning (from my old Jeep, required some modifications)
- Easeord shower tank
- Solar panels (600 watts)
- Two solar batteries (2000 and 600 wh)

I’m all electric for cooking, coffee, etc. … camp fire just makes the Pinot Noir taste better! I’m running 37s and Eibach coilovers (max height) with significant rake to accommodate the extra weight.

Are the solar panels manually deployed?
