I've pretty much been done with most of the mods that I wanted to do, and decided it was time to share my latest addition.
Living in SoCal, not sure how much need I'll have for them but it just looked too cool and I really wanted them.

So I present to you:

The limb riser kit came from Gearshade.
The main feature of this kit is the quick release pin on the front.
Due to the LED light bar on the roof, I was not able to use the supplied roof mounts, so I drilled 1/4" holes to the front side of my light bar mounts.
I also had the Trailrax trail sight accessory mounts on the front, but after consideration, thought that the quick release was a better option.

My last upgrade is the Trailmax TRMR roof rack, which will open up a whole new world of upgrades, at which point I'll post more updates then!

Thats one sizzling bronco! Well done!
I just installed the limb risers. We put them to the test yesterday. They sure helped on the tight PNW trails. Sadly, the accessory caps don’t fit on tight after adding the top plate, and they are now missing. 🥺🤬
Engineer fail!
i, too, had the flat mount on the trail site. Not sure what to do for a flag mount now.
what is that you have on your front bumper?

Thx @SuzH !
I now have 2 locations for a dune flag now.
The one you see in the image is the Swarfworks flag mount.
I'm using the mount with this quick release mount and flag.

I also have a mount on the back, where the tailgate reinforcement kit from Hammerbuilt is installed.
You'd need to get the entire kit with the accessory rail and the antenna mount for this to work, so it's a lot more money, but also a lot more functional.
You can see the little metal stud above the gas can; the flag clips on there.
Using this mount for this flag.

Yes, sometimes I use both flags because... why not? :D

Let me know if you need any other suggestions.

I really like that accessory mount from Hammerbuilt. I’ve worried about the tire weight on the tailgate. It’s a good in between to use u til I get a new bumper system where the tire weight is on the bumper.
I really like your rig. You’ve done some great mods.
Tell me about your light bar, please. Wired to a switch?

Thx again!
The Hammerbuilt is definitely a good option for the tailgate. I was deciding between this and the RTR one, but in the end chose the Hammerbuilt because of the modularity, whereas the RTR seems like it only works with other RTR accessories.

For the lighting, I have two light bars, a 40" on the roof and a 30" on the bumper with this mount.
I also have 6 fog lights, 2 ditch lights, chase lights, and rock lights.
Ford Bronco Limb Risers Install PhotoGrid_Plus_1663172619401

Due to this, the factory AUX switches and wiring did not supply enough power so I ended up taking that out and getting a SwitchPros with a SDHQ mount.

The lights are a bit overkill but they help so much on night trails.

Headlights/Fogs only:
Ford Bronco Limb Risers Install Headlight only

With the lIght bars on in the exact same spot:
Ford Bronco Limb Risers Install All lights

The bumper light bar puts out enough light, but because it's so low, it tends to cast a lot of shadow behind every little bump, so the roof light bar mitigates that problem.

Here is the bumper light only (in a different location):

Hope that helps.

After installing the @TrailRax TRMR rack, I had to come up with a different method of mounting my limb risers to the roof. The mounting point was much higher and further back, and the current length was too short. Spoke to the team at Trailrax and figured out the best place to mount, and also had a talk with @GearShade and they were gracious enough to extend the limb risers to whatever length I needed, which was 5". Extremely grateful for that. This was above and beyond anything I was expecting.

I found the supplied roof mounting brackets from Gearshade and installed them upside down on one of the slats of the roof rack, and it turned out like this:

And finally, a glam shot:

My pics are terrible and the rig is dirty, but overall, I'm extremely pleased with how everything turned out.

A big thanks to Trailrax for their sound advise and Gearshade for all of their help.
Both of these are great products and highly recommended!

Hey Michael,

I actually have the same roof rack. I like your setup. Did you need to do any additional modifications to make this work? I kinda want to copy what you did here. Did you have to make a special order with Gearshade for the additional 5"? What about the mounting bracket to the roof rack, did you have to modify anything?

Your bronco looks bad ass :)

The team at Gearshade was gracious enough to send me longer cables, so I just sent in the ones that were sent initially back and they sent me the long ones.

The mounts were not modified, I just flipped them upside down to make them work. The most ideal solution would have been to be able to open the hood with the limb risers on, but overall, I'm happy with the setup.

Hey Michael,

Thanks for the reply. You wouldn't happen to remember what the measurement of the cable was? I will probably order soon.

Thanks again,

Carlos

I can't remember, it's been a few years now.
However, my post says it was extended 5" longer, not sure how much that helps. Sorry.

Nvm, I had them in the back so I just measured them.
Heading out to Joshua Tree in a few hours so I found them in the back while checking gear.

Looks like the "inside measurement" of the cable is 52".
The crimps and the locks should all be standard, so that's the measurement you'll need to provide.

Here's an updated truck pic, it is now matte and very heavy!

Thanks again! Enjoy Joshua Tree. I am on the east coast in VA. I am probably going to take my Bronco out to Shenandoah/George Washington National Forest this weekend :)

With the limb risers relocated to your rack, can you open the hood without releasing the limb risers?

No. Mine will still contact limb risers. They would have to be mounted wider for the interference to be mitigated.
