Making Weathertech mud flaps quickly "removable" so you don't rip 'em off on the trail.

I installed Weathertech mud flaps on my Black Diamond 4 door with the Sasqusatch package. The screws holding the front flaps are easy to get to. It shouldn't be too difficult to remove the front flap when needed and reinstall 'em for the trip home. The rear flaps are a different story. The three screws that fasten that flap tap into the back of the plastic bumper and require you to place "U-clips" on them. It's almost impossible to keep these "blind" U-clips from spinning as you tighten the screws. It would not be a quick job to remove and replace these. I'm thinking about changing the factory attachment method. If I can install blind "rivet nuts" into the bumper it should make removal and reattachment much easier. Anyone familiar with inserting these threaded rivets into plastic. Is there one type of rivet that would work best in this application? Thanks.
