Have a few Cerakoted things in the fun safe (albeit mostly their heat-cured products), and its durability is outstanding, I can see this as being a fantastic, cost-is-no-option coating

Dayum! I got a quote (in ABQ, NM)of $800 to white Line-X my 4 dr hardtop, $950 for the premium, so $2500 seems pretty steep. I had an AR15 that had a gray Cerakote lower, and it was pretty sweet looking.

The hardtop in question is in fact mine. I have yet to see it complete in person. More details will follow when I pick it up next week.

Just to let others know, that Advanced Cerakote won't do the tops with metallic paint as their color isn't an exact match to the factory paint. The large flat surface of the top shows off the contrast too much whereas small parts such as the grill aren't as noticeable. I reached out to them for my VB Black Diamond to have the MIC top done and they said they won't do it. They also don't have a loaner top for 2-dr owners that are interested. For the moar door, you drop off the MIC and they put a ST loaner on until your top is finished.

Well, I don’t think it’s any further apart than the factory Carbon Gray MIC on my Carbon Gray Bronco.

Not sure how well it would work with other colors, but CG MIC looks sweet!

If I had the MIC on my Rapid Red, I'd do the cerakote in black.

Adam at Advanced Cerakote does nice work. He did a few pieces for my Bronco and was awesome. Cerakote top is a great idea IMO

Did you receive everything you ordered? I paid him $1500 for a raptor grille cerakoted armor black. It was supposed to include the bracket and lights. He claimed the bracket shipped but I never received it. He gave me the part number to order the bracket myself and he reimbursed me a few days later. The bracket turned out to be the incorrect part so still trying to return the other and get the correct one. I've been trying to reach him for a few weeks about the lights but he doesn't reply to me anymore. Original purchase was made from him November 11th 2022.
