I dont want to be "connected". I actually want to be DISconnected.

The base Sync system has Carplay, so if I need Nav, I can run it through my phone.

I had originally wanted a manual, but then found out I couldnt get Mid with Manual, so I decided on Mid package. Now, I realize I dont want all this "connected" crap, with Ford and their insurance company tracking everything about how and where I drive.

So even though I really wanted that Intelligent access, I think Im dropping Mid Package, and revisiting the Manual tranny.

What specific "Connected crap" that comes with the mid-package do you not want? The only thing I see is the navigation...just use your phone (like everyone will anyway). Navigation is not giving away your info....

You have a smartphone? If so, they are already tracking you...they don't need your Mid package to do that.

Get the Mid package and enjoy the comforts of the 21st century automobile industry. Or get the Manual and enjoy driving and controlling your transmission shift points. Personally I'm leaning towards BL - Manual - Mid Package.

Ford and insurance companies tracking how and where you drive.

https://owner.ford.com/fordpass/fordpass-privacy-policy.html

  • Driving Data (may also be referred to as Driving Characteristics and Behavior): Information about how the vehicle is operated and used (such as speed, use of accelerator, brakes, steering, seat belts, etc.)

Ford and other manufacturers are on this big kick having all cars "Connected". Its called metadata.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me hate new cars.

Who else is having spaghetti tonight?
I’m having some chicken and rice like my mom used to make it. Simplest meal but delicious and always a good memory of her.

Don't sign up for FordPass then. You will lose Connected Navigation but you can still get all the other mid package stuff.

FordPass is in every single Bronco, even manual base.

Unfortunately, that is not an option. Ford is making the dealers sign up their customers for Fordpass upon delivery. Actually have to do this with their phone and personally download the Fordpass app on their phone and then pair their phone to their new car then sync it up. If the dealer does not do this, they are penalized ($$$) by Ford. I know this because I personally worked at a Ford dealership and had to do this very recently.

Fordpass is not in the Bronco, fordpass is the app on your phone.
LMAO yes whatever. Every single Bronco will have the ability to connect your phone to FordPass.
