So it’s like that because they paint them with the doors on. They probably say to themselves it’s not a show surface because they haven’t built doors off Broncos in decades. The wrangler is painted without the doors on because they know their customers will take their doors off, plus their hinges are on the exterior of the vehicle. Hopefully ford changes it but they won’t. It would require new fixtures and a new paint production process.

Has anyone else had issues where the door jam is missing paint?
The drivers and passengers front fender area is not painted.
Tesla says it's normal.

These are possibly PBA (Paint before assembly) units.
That bracket is likely an add-on part after the fact, more than likely a supplier-painted part or painted on a supplemental sub-line.

Poor QC at the least.
But they are electrostatic primed prior to topcoat.
Corrosion isn't a big issue, appearance is.

TBH that whole inside corner behind the fender looks green to me, may be the shadows.

Can touch it up or just mask them off and black them out.
Best case Is I'd take them off and paint, re-bolt them (what I would do if it were mine also).
Not seen with doors on, and black on those would look fine, can be found at any parts store, reapply as needed.

I would not be happy with that. It's not like it's a spot that doesn't matter but with the doors off, that's an eye sore. I'll be sure to check that out before I get mine.

Is it just the brackets that are not painted thoroughly or the actual frame? Hard to tell from this, but either way not cool.

Unfortunately this is normal. I get your point of looking unfinished on a doors off vehicle however and even if the doors could not be removed (as with my F150) I still notice it (and on the door bottoms).

I don't want to sound like the d-bag here but chances of getting Ford to pay for this is miniscule. Most dealer are on a "digital imaging" program and have to take pics. and send to Ford for approval. Just spoke with my b/s mgr. and am 50/50 on Ford covering it. Next concern is do you want your new vehicle painted on and how close with they get the color match.

Unfortunately this is typical.
Bottom sides of doors, undersides of rockers, inside edges of front fenders, jambs, trunk extensions, bottom edges of quarter panels (or bedsides).
I see a LOT of it.
That and poor drainage engineering (and internal cavity coating) is what leads to vehicles rusting out around the bottom perimeter.
I see Dodge and Chevy trucks less than 10 yrs old with the cab corners, rockers, and rear wheel arches completely gone and shake my head.
My 78 was infamous for those areas and looked better in 2016 than a 2010 did in 2016.

But robots are so much easier to deal with on Monday mornings, don't leave early on Fridays, and you don't have to give them lunch breaks. Just make sure they are calibrated, P.M.'ed, and never become self-aware.

What was your build date? I ask because the one we got yesterday was 6/16. Hopefully factory catches this soon and makes some adjustments if they haven't done so already.

Color match is not a problem at all.

I'm not really sure how much we'll do doors off, but I'm thinking I'll just get a can do it myself. If Ford would pay for the can, even better, but I'll bet it's a 99% chance that Ford will just say that's normal.

Lol with reds and yellows, not likely. They are a beast to get matched.
My wife hit a deer with our Yellow Cobalt SS, so insurance paid for the repair.
I rejected it 4 times because the bumper, fender, and hood were all a different shade and saturation of yellow.
The Chevy Dealer B/S manager came out that 4th time, literally almost in tears, telling me he worked on it himself all weekend, mixed up no less than 15 samples, trying to get the hue close enough.

I took it home, sanded it, and painted it myself.

Not perfect (it never will be unless you either get lucky or respray the whole car), but I blended the new base onto adjacent areas and cleared all, so it isn't "panel painted".

A waitress at the restaurant near work has a 2014 Race Red Stang. The car is literally 4 different Reds, similar situation with her.

Followed by silvers and greys.
White and black are fairly safe.
