Mount a Radar Detector on a phone mount?

I have an older radar detector, I think a phone type grip would hold it decently. My question... Anyone have a favorite phone mount on BYOD rail that I can lay it horizontal so the radar detector is pointing at the road and not the roof! TIA!

I actually bought this specifically to mount my radar detector on either the dashboard screw hole or on a device rail. I got the idea from someone else who did the same thing, I'll try to find the picture that they posted and share it here.

If you're not a fan of the USB sticking straight up from the port, you can probably get a 90° or 45° USB adapter to help it lay flatter. I was thinking of doing the same eventually

Got a solution, thanks for the link above, it led me to my solution! I am going to buy a USB to RJ11 cable to get rid of the cigarette lighter USB adapter I have laying in my charging area.

I got it off Etsy. I don’t see that they offer them right now. Seems like it’s 3D printed. Radar detector itself is a Tackform mount.

Have you thought about a cheese plate? Mount a detector any anything else you can think of
