Are you running 4.7 gears and 35's?
This makes little sense. My truck gears are set up to match my tire and hauling load needs, that is whu I get 17 MPG. The reason you use gears like 4.7 is to blanace out having the bigger tire. Putting 3.73 gears with 35" tires is what gives you the problems. Obviously none of us know the real numbers, but I can't believe the 35" tires with 4.70 gears and a 10 speed tranny with a little 2.7 is going to get 14 MPG. Maybe but I highly doubt it.

Rotating mass of 33 vs 35's? Increased rolling resistance of the wider tires? A vehicle with 3.73 gears and 33" tires is turning an estinmated 1911 RPM's at 70mph. A vehicle with 4.70 gears and 35" tires is turning roughly 2230 RPM's at 70 mph. Factor in the poor aero's of the Bronco and your MPG's will not be what you hope. My current 2018 Raptor with 4.10's and 35" tires gets better mpg's than my FJ Cruiser did on 32's. My belief is that 20 mpg in a Bronco 2.7, 4.70, and 35's is a fantasy at best.

Well lets be honest, it is a Toyota, lol. Most anything they make that isn't a small car gets poor gas mileage. Don't forget the 10 speed, it helps.

I totally see your point, it may end up bad but if jeeps are anything to go by I don't think its going to far from around 18 or so mpg. I am hoping for closer to 20 with out the SAS package, it is a dream of mine. I am not buying it for good gas mileage but if it does have it, YAY!

I think alot will boil down to driving. If I drive at "legal" freeway speeds like 55-65 my car gets into the 40's ... if I drive "my" freeway speeds like 75 my car gets low to mid 30's.
I agree. I drive like a grandpa and consistently get at or above the listed mpg. I'm right at 28 mpg combined roughly half and half and it's supposed to get 23/29/25.

I'm certain the Bronco will be the same so long as the rating is not over ambitious / false.
