My base sasquatch 2.7L 4-Door with soft top, steel modular bumper, rock rails, deluxe cargo security cage, and hitch now has 3,387 miles with about 50/50 highway to local miles and only one 3-hour off road trip. Lifetime average is 17.5 mpg
My 2.3 BB 4 door mostly cruises the back roads around here topless. Average since I got it is 22, on a nice long trip it'll run about 24 unless I'm fighting the wind.
Around 20 and my STi gets about the same. I had a Camry hybrid that got 43 but I didn’t even pay for gas because it was a company car so did not benefit lol. I don’t think about it. Just drive and have fun.
Got back from a road trip from STL to Fort Walton Beach. Got 19.8mpg according to the 'puter. Used mid grade gas. That included several hours on I65 in Alabama that was stop and go because I65 in Alabama.
Lifetime over ~11k miles so far is 18.9. When going to CO for a spring break ski trip from STL to Silverthorne got a whopping 14.2 (14. something) thru KS...F...KS.
