I’ve got the 4.7 gears. Probably makes a difference.I should have also added - mine has 3.73 gears and does not have 4A so it is always in RWD only which I'm sure helps a bit too.
I feel the same way, 2.3 manual base upgraded to the black diamond steelies with all terrain tires that come on those. I think I went from 30 in to 31.6 in roughly. On 93 Octane:
Mine is pretty subpar.
14-15 City, if I am lucky.
21 Highway
2.7L 2-door, non-sas 33"s KO2s
I also try to drive in ECO mode a lot. Doesn't seem to help much.
One thing to consider is that you are losing some mileage on your odometer due to increased tire size. A quick calculation I did was that something like 2 in increase entire diameter is 5% odometer loss, but do your own math mine might be off. That could potentially add a couple miles per gallon. The tire size makes an extreme difference in MPG. My stock OBX was getting 20.5 MPG. I switched out to 33" KO2s and i now get 17.5 MPG. I think the bigger the tire the lower the MPG. And i'm ok with that!
I assume vehicle doesn't even get up to temperature?Currently sitting at 16.3 on the lie
O meter. Just got the speedo corrected this past Sunday so we will see if it goes up or down. 2.7 outer banks non sas with badlands wheels and tires 33” bfg
I literally drove 1.2 miles to work with stop signs and lights tho.
Still waiting on my bronco, but will share an experience with the 3.5 eco boost that’s in my 2013 flex. I did an axle-back exhaust system (from MRT)plus a tune (from unleashed) and my mpg increased substantially! I knocked 1.5 seconds off my 0-60 times, BUT when I didn’t hot-foot it my mpg was also remarkably improved - as much as 2mpg at non-highway speeds which makes sense when considering turbo performance at lower exhaust gas loading. I would expect the same phenomena with the twin-turbo eco boost in the bronco, and am planning to do the same. What are you getting in real world driving? Add your model, engine, trans, Sas or not. Before I got mine I really wanted to see real world numbers. Not complaining….. smiles per gallon.
