Got mine, yeah need to use the obd port. There’s no instructions available for this in their install guide directory. Also a fuse tap and a usb plug in the package.

What’s the fuse tap and USB plug? Does it have to connect to the fuse box and plug into a USB port, in addition to the OBDII port?

Can you take a picture of what it looks like before installing?

If I wanted to use the display as a handheld unit instead of mounting in the HVAC vent, I am wondering it it’s fully enclosed or if I could make a 3D printed case for it.

I think it gives two options. Guessing obd port is one and maybe the usb and fuse as a separate but I don’t think that usb port has the info needed. Maybe its for when you pop it out and can usb in computer to get data logs out

Nice!! Looks like it could easily be mounted on a dash rail instead with a cellphone-type holder. I would just need to deal with the cable connections in the back.

That definitely makes sense. Better than downloading logs wirelessly. Maybe the device can also be updated via the USB connecting to a laptop.

The USB is to update firmware and also make custom changes. I downloaded the software but have not installed it yet.

My MacGyver job. I mounted it to my procal until my cell phone mount arrives. I had to use a Micro fuse tap. I used fuse 2 under the steering column. I know it's hot on ignition. I placed a piece of foam between the display and the pro cal to account for the wire connectors and cut out a channel for the OBD cable. Now to figure out how to set it up.
