I have a 2020 Ranger lifted on 33's.... I've never had braking issues. They don't feel "mushy" and I've never had any butt pucker moments because of them.... So I don't know what to tell you lol

You must have a unicorn. Good for you!

Ranger forum, other owner's and car magazines say they "no good."

Let's just pray that the Bronco does better. We will soon know when the expert testers get their hands on them. They can tell...

Another fairly inexpensive upgrade to help with the brake issue is to replace your stock parts with drilled and slotted rotors and better quality brake pads. Guaranteed that you will notice a big difference.

Well as far as I know the 2021 Ranger comes with a vacuum booster..they have the 2.3 engine.

depending on your Bronco engine..there will be 2 types of brake boosters.

2.3 engine - vacuum

2.7 engine - electronic

also appears Bronco has bigger caliper Swept area.

so if there are similarities will have to compare 2.3 engine Bronco to Ranger

Test drove my buddies Ranger once and almost slammed both our faces into the dash the first time I hit the brakes. If you want mushy brakes, go drive a Tacoma.

With the size of the brake disks and brake pistons I was concerned about possible brake feel/ performance. My expectations are low

I recommend Callahan for pads. They don’t have a guarantee on the box but would you rather stick your head up your butcher’s ass? Or would you just take his word for it.

Ford is notorious for having a mushy brake pedal. Every new Ford I have owned has had a mushy brake pedal. My current Raptor has a mushy pedal. No issues with the actual function but they just do not feel right. When I switch vehicles to my wife's Audi I have to be very careful with the brakes.

I've had mushy brakes before, on a4runner. Already was planning on replacing the master cylinder. Bled probably two quarts thru the lines at each wheel and it was pretty stiff after.

I have never had issues with my Raptor brakes but I have owned 3 BMW M cars and the Germans know how to do brakes. BTW .. the traditional master cylinder is gone on the GEN3 Raptor. It is now all electronic.

drilled and slotted rotors will do nothing for a soft pedal
grabby brake pads will do little for a soft pedal
braided brake lines for the win
Yes I have them all on my SVT track car but the biggest improvement was the braided lines, hands down.

I didn't realize no one was allowed to talk about it. I've seen plenty around, but I've never had a chance to ask.
There aren't "plenty" of them around as the bronco has yet to have a single customer unit built. Are you talking about the bronco sport? Yeah, those are around.

Driving a Ranger now, brakes feel normal. Broncos we drove we fine too. Brake feel only concerns me when they are high and hard or low and soft. Either of those issues means you have a problem. HCU, stuck pads, no booster assist, seized caliper, bad hose etc. Bronco brakes worked as advertised.
