This is my thread on my 2 door Heritage build. As a 22 year old many years ago I had a 66 and then a 74 bronco. So when they announced the new Bronco I new I needed to reproduce an old classic. I started with a base 2 door automatic, In velocity blue. So far I have added a rough country 2” level kit. 1.something in the 2.something in the rear. And had custom built Wheelsmith wheels made. They are 17x8 steel smoothies, with 30mm offset. Interceptor caps with custom designed vinyl graphics. And modified old school fender badge with the “sport” removed. My next step will be the top painted in matching off white to the wheels. Should be done with that in a couple weeks.

Looks good,I'm a fan of the 1960's rims but the cap is so tiny the rim looks massive, reminds me of this...

I know what you mean. When I see my photos especially from certain angles. But when you see it in person, it’s not as bad.

I'm digging the wheels and the retro badges. I wanted to put the same ones on mine, but the wife likes the WT stickers.🤦‍♂️

Ok my next step in this build is going to be the white top. For those of you who are worried about the look of the white top, like I was. Try this…. I used printer paper and taped up a mock-up on the side and back of one side, to get an idea of how it will look. I have seen a few white tops in photos and wasn’t sure if I liked it. But when you see it in person, it looks so much better. So now it is off to the painter on February 2nd. 😁

I also owned a Bronco, in my college years, and my father had one as well that we used as a work truck and eventually snow plow. Just like you, I knew immediately I wanted to do something with the velocity blue. Strange, as my Bronco was green and my father’s orange. I’m not going full retro, and need a four door. My plan is to go soft top and fairly stock for off-road and playing around in the mountains and desert of AZ, but then eventually get a white modular hard top, fenders and possibly wheels for a vintage option around town. Love what you’re doing and will be watching this thread!

My 66 was a half cab in primer grey with a black top. And my 74 was metallic cinnamon I believe. But velocity blue was my favorite color you could bet in a base. 😂 but now that I have it I really like the color

So cool. I live in north Utah county so I’ll keep an eye out for this beauty. I need to get me a matching retro badge! Best I’ve seen.
