What are some options on completely covering to block off the A Pillar vent. Don't like how the air blows.

This would be a good thing to put in that "What accessories don't exist yet" thread - since the HVAC system is rediculous.

I’ve never tried to remove but if it just pops out like I would imagine it should, cut a piece of 1/4” adhesive backed Black closed cell foam in the back of it and reinstall it. That’s probably easiest and soundest I would do…?? Don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

Could probably cut out the vent and pop in a simple 3D printed cover instead.

True, but you’ll still need to seal the edges with something. Closed cell will do it all in one step. Course I guess that would give a person a reason to buy a 3D printer. Does everybody own a 3D printer now days?

I don’t own a 3D printer, but it sure seems like everyone owns one nowadays!

If you were able to snap something in pretty tightly, I don’t think you’d need to seal it. But it’d likely take a bit of trial & error to get the perfect fit.

Yes Pet peeve of mine as well. Hot air blowing right in my face when I only wanted directed to my feet. I would not take the route of blocking it off entirely, because you do need it to defrost the drivers and passengers windows, but thought that perhaps a piece of Velcro, that is easily removed might do the trick when needed

Id buy one in a heartbeat if someone printed adjustable vent via 3D.

.....So who wants to make some money?

No I’m not sure. That’s why I said “not sure if it pops out, I’ve never tried….”
EDIT——
Sorry if I was misleading, actual quote was “I’ve never tried to remove it, but if it just pops out like I imagine it should….”
👍🏼

I've seen a couple of posts around here where folks have popped it out and it's broke.

So - I guess it probably does pop in, but isn't really made to pop back out too easily. Like almost everything else on the interior on these things.
