I was building a Badlands SAS for fun on the Ford website, and noticed that the photo for the SAS 35" tire has a seemingly different tread pattern; also it's now billed as a Mud Terrain, wherein previously it was described as a "Multi-Terrain" tire. The reason I care is whether the "new" tire has stronger sidewalls than the old? The tread patterns seems to indicate a relatively quiet tire on pavement. Here's an image of the tire:

That does look different. You never know though. Ford tends to use a lot of digital renderings in their website images for some reason.

My BIL got a 2024 Sasquatch, and the tires are "Mud Terrain" not "Maximum Traction" as it was listed before. The tread pattern looks the same but they are deeper cleats, closer to the same tread depth as my KO2's.

The Free Wheeling tire looks way different (reminds me of the new KO3) as does this one... yup, possibly new tire choices. Too bad there aren't new colors, too.

Goodyear redesigned the Territory tread. Less siping than the previous version. Here's the old version, new version and another brand side by side
Interesting. Do you have any information on the new tire's sidewall construction?

My hunch is that the 2025 Broncos will run the new Goodyear Territory RT tires as the Sasquatch tire. This is the tire that was pictured in the Free Wheeling Bronco that @Ducati1098 linked. Those have not officially launched yet, but they are available on a few vehicles from the factory.

The existing Goodyear Territory MT tires have always been billed as a "Mud-Terrain" tires on Ford's marketing/paperwork, but Goodyear has always called the tire a "Multi-Terrain" or a "Maximum Traction" tire depending on what you were looking at—seems Goodyear themselves had trouble keeping their marketing lingo consistent. (In my opinion, they are basically an All-Terrain tire.)

As @Dodoandduck said, Goodyear tweaked the tread pattern a little bit on those, and over the summer the tires you get from the factory seem to be different than the tires you get from places like Tire Rack and Discount Tire. Seems to be somewhat common for tire manufacturers to do that. For example... the BFG KO3 tire that's been available from the factory as OEM on the Ranger Raptor (and a few other vehicles) have a slightly different tread pattern than the BFG KO3 tires that were launched to the general public last month. My hunch is the tread pattern on the OEM tires are probably more fuel economy oriented. But for all I know the automobile manufacturers may just be still working through their old stock.

I wonder why? The tread is the best thing about them, it's the carcass that needed help.

Website shows 6 ply, no other info I've seen. I suspect it would be very similar to the previous specs

The tire on the left is an Atturo. Ran a set of 35s on my last Jeep before buying my Bronco. They are a great tire for the money.

Yes sir, I haven't ran them before but they look promising. True 35" and 45,000 mile warranty. Will likely go with the Arturo for the next set after the factory Territory are done.
