Yes sounds like a dry tach cable. I have not spent any time looking for it but it's at highway speeds and it sounds like a loose wire harness. I have checked in the engine compartment and did not find anything.

I would add, that since I was their guinea pig for this repair that if you went there, they could do it fairly quickly.
Thanks for the follow up. Good to hear the fix worked. Darling's in Bangor is my dealer, trying to find out if they have done any before I commit.

Thanks. I'm headed to the dealer in the morning. I'll get it looked at.

Following... I have same issue at highway speeds. Sounds like a wiring harness or cable flapping in the wind behind the dash on drivers side; doesn't seem to be directly behind the instrument panel though, seems to be lower than that.

Thanks exactly the sound. As for location. lSeems to me behind the dash at the speedometer, but I can't say it's there exactly.

Having it in the dealer on Wednesday. They need to recreate it, (which shouldn’t be too difficult) then we go from there. Should be easy enough though.

I think I found it. Was changing the oil and went in deep. I belive this the the front diff vent line routed with 0 wire ties behind the top inner fender bracket.

I think I narrowed this down to the painted plastic covers used on the windshield frame mounts. I wasn't hearing the noise every day so I waited until it was pretty obvious to pay closer attention. I pulled them off a couple of days ago and the noise disappeared. Trying this solution out - added some stick-on foam to the covers. I'll report back in a week or so.

Is this driver or passenger side? I have a similar noise.
