Absolutely. I would love to have another EB (Had a 76), but would be too worried to actually use it on the trail. The stock model 20 xfer case was not geared nealy low enough and the steel on those trucks was pretty thin walled. They loved to rust out the floor boards.
I'm with you, the new gen will be better all around for being able to actually use and enjoy the truck, while looking amazing & similar enough to the original.

The Bronco 20 TC was 2.46 : 1, not too bad, but the 3spd was lacking. Jeep's Mod 20 TC had 2.0 : 1, helpless without a granny gear.

Old school is cool. But new tecnology always wins for me. Very pleased with both the 2 dr and 4 dr versions. Ford gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

I feel this is a great representation of old vs new.

I think the designers did a great job!

But the designers who actually came up with the original did an amazing and truly masterful job. They created the look.????

Agree with this and had always thought I’d do white top etc but then thought I should just let the OG be the OG and the new be new with kudos to the OG. That make sense?

Regarding badge adhesives, this is the stuff (3M VHB tape). Double sided adhesive, attach badge to one side and trim. Best with patient use of an X-acto knife and a pack of sharp blades. Get it at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

I think the EB’s are incredible. I would love to own one but from a financial perspective... never gonna happen. The 6G definitely carries the spirit of the EB but will be 100x more practical to daily drive and take on road trips etc. If I’m ever lucky enough to be able to afford an EB it will be a mall crawler for going out to old town Scottsdale etc.

As the owner of 3 EBs (69,76 and 77) I am ecstatic about the 6G. The EBs are getting so expensive and so unobtanimum that it is becoming depressing to drive. There is no replacement back to original, they lack good road manors, they have become collector cars and not daily drivers. Sure there are drivers out there, but I could never let myself not fix this or that... A fender bender could total it.

I am very much looking forward to the style of the EB with the amenities, reliability and practicality of the 6G. When fully restored examples are pushing $60k-100k or more,a 6G is more appealing to me. Sure I would like a 77' EB or a 64.5' Mustang to concourse level, but the 6G is just more practical for me. I will get more enjoyment out of it.

What drew me to old 4x4s in the first place, was the relatively low cost. The fun of making mods, using off-road, and worst case you mess it up so bad you buy another. The gentrification and high costs of EBs took that draw and fun away. It's still there with older Jeeps because you can still have fun at decent prices.

I suspect the new Bronco will have a moderating impact on the EB prices. Similar to how the JL does on the older Jeeps. It won't replace the EB, but some people that might have thrown big money at EBs, will instead go new Bronco. When people start having fun and are seen personalizing and driving around in top down/doors off new Broncos (and arguably doing it better on-road and in some cases depending on terrain off-road as well) ... that will make the sale of EBs by comparison a bit harder.

The dedicated and hardcore old 4x4 folks will still want an EB, but some of the big spenders and trendy types will have the new Bronco to consider. And really anyone driving daily or having miles to travel to off-road trails ... the new Bronco is going to excel over an EB. And I'm saying that as a guy who loves old 4x4s and daily drove a CJ-7 and CJ-5 for many years.

I sure wish they’d offer paint colors from the EB era. A brown paint option like my ‘75 in Sequoia brown metallic with a white top that I sold about 5 years ago would have been awesome.

I was thinking the same. I actually looked up some suppliers. They all have have plastic "pegs" on the back of the script emblem to insert into holes in the fenders. I thought maybe to sand off the "pegs" and use some type of adhesive. I then was afraid the adhesive would ruin paint.

Let me know if anyone have insight on attaching vehicle emblems.

Have you figured out how to attach after taking off the pegs?
