So I looked up Mobil oil filter for my 23 2.7. Found #M1C-456A was what they said.

get home- nope.

Wtf, decide I’ll just go to the dealer bc it’s 5m away, tell her what I need, first one they come out with isn’t even close, not a cart style….

anyway, she comes back with FL-2062-A

Doesn’t look exact but better than the Mobil one.

so now I look online for oem ines, they have the rubber top one like I have, same # but no A

Question is, can I use the one I have or is the dealer not all there and I need to exchange it, again

What is the part number listed in the owners manual? Use that one.

On the old classic FL-1-A, the "A" stood for Anti-drainback valve.

Well
According the the owners manual built into my truck, the correct one is FL-2062-A

even though it looks nothing like the one from the factory.

My parts guide shows the Fl-2062-A cartridge type. Also has part number KU2Z 6731-A

You can use either the FL-2062 or FL-2062-A. The 2062-A is the newer filter which ford is putting in the 2.7 but they are kinda hard to find. There's not much difference between the two. This is a great video that was posted on the forum going over all the filters for the 2.7:

I use Wix, in my Bronco, and my Raptor. Always change around 3500 - 4000 miles. No complaints.

Speaking of wix...how long does it take for them to come up with an Air filter. I mean it's been 3 years and still nothing!

I know, right! I really like Wix products. I have used their air and oil filters in my Raptor since I bought it back in ‘20. I was wondering too why they haven’t made one yet for the Bronco, LOL.
