Oil leak from intercooler?

Isn't there something that can be done to mitigate the oil accumulation in the IC in the first place?

Ford performance sells an oil-air separator but I’m not sure how much it will help.

If it’s coming from the turbo you’ll need to replace it.

I thought about a catch can. With the dual injection, opinions are split as to whether it’s worth it. I’m of the belief that if it keeps oil out of the intercooler, it’s worth it. I’m also of the belief that if I install one, I’m giving them some rope to hang me if something fails.

2.3 have a lot of crank case pressure get a UPR or similar vented valve cover cap....makes a difference. Should also get dirty side catch can to prevent fuel diluting oil. The Radium PVC baffle plate is also a nice addition since OE can leak.

I just found same issue..23 WT , 55k on 2.7 … both sides but driver side had dripped enough to collect onto the body armor .. I have ford performance catch can kit … gonna have to call dealership about the seals on pipes to inter cooler I guess … any addition outcome or info ?
