So I drive my 2022 Base Non Sas 2.3 L. Auto for the first time in Sport mode (for about a half mile) and I get home. An hour later I see an oil leak about a foot distance from the left front tire? I have never been off road and now doing 16k miles Any suggestions apart from appointment with the Dealer? Thanks.

Have you ever had it in 4 wheel anything before? In any case, crawl under their and take a pic of where the axle comes out of the FDU (i.e. the front differential) as my first guess is FDU seals are bad.

Might be the left front shock. Mine went out and started leaking enough to put quarter sized spots on the driveway. Fixed under warranty.

Wow, first time in Sport mode at 16K miles? May help if you can post a pic of the leak. There have been a few common leaks that have popped up, but you'll still probably want to visit a dealer to get it resolved. I assume you have a 2.3 L since it's a base? I had a leak on the transfer case, output shaft myself.

Sport mode is purely a coincidence. Wouldn't make sense that it has anything to do with getting an oil leak.
Either way, unless you plan on crawling under it to see where it's coming from, I'd just bring it to the dealer and let them fix it under warranty.

Any chance you've had an oil change recently? There's a collection trough underneath the oil filter that diverts the oil from the oil filter away from the wheel/brakes and dumps just behind, and inboard, from the left front. It ends up dripping for several days after an oil change. Or possible your filter is loose, leaking oil and following the trough.

Maybe check if the filter is tight...stranger things have happened.
I would check this first. I had a leak on my Silverado after an oil change and it turned out that the filter wasn't even hand tight.

My money is on the oil filter trough letting some residual oil out and/or the person who changed your oil filter possibly didn't give enough ugga duggas.
