I'm looking to buy and have noticed that cloth seats seem to only be available on the lower models which seems odd. Higher models list vinyl or leather trimmed vinyl. Any complaints on the seats when it gets hot, or other complaints?

Probably going to get an Outer Banks or Badlands.

I have vinyl in the Wildtrak. Not my preferred surface but it isn't terrible. I hate cloth seats and I also have Rotties so dog hair and cloth are a no-no. I wish there was a nice, luxury leather seating option on these vehicles. Heated/cooled leather would be nice.

Don't be afraid to put the air conditioner on to cool the vehicle off. I even run it when I have my doors off and it helps keep everything cool.

I don't know of any vehicle where higher end models come with cloth seats. Mine are fine.
Mostly comparing to a Jeep Wrangler. Cloth seats are common, even with the Rubicon.

If you don't end up liking the vinyl or leather when it's hot you can always put cloth seat covers on.

That's what I figure, though want seat heaters. So covers might make the heaters not work as well.

I happen to like the (at least older) Jeep cloth seats, since they dried out easily and seemed to last. I know I've seen the cloth seats in a Bronco, but I can't recall. I know I don't like the leather seats.

I have a 2dr BL Sas with the vinyl seats. I live in North Texas. Not uncommon for 90's-110's. Yes, the seats can get hot. They can also be a little boggy if you get in sweaty or it's humid. I think if you want the rubberized floor, you'd need the MGV.

There are aftermarket seat covers that can maintain the heated seat and even add a/c-like blowing air (I think). They are like $2k or more, but I'd much rather have that than the expensive mostly-vinyl "leather" seats manufacturers install these days. Katzkin is one, I know there's at least one other.

I wanted cloth, but had to accept the vinyl. I haven't had any problems with them. I dont recall burning myself on them like I expected.

Cloth seat covers over heated vinyl/leather seats won’t affect the seat heaters much.. At the highest setting they get extremely hot. I usually run them at the lowest setting in Minnesota winters.

Our 2015 Mustang convertible had air conditioned leather seats. Wish the Bronco had them. I have the marine grade vinyl also. I like it more than Wifey. Would have gotten leather otherwise. Cloth was always in the cheapie models and started looking bad pretty quickly. Not sure why the OP thinks cloth is high-end lol.

The Heritage Edition has cloth seats and I wouldn’t call it lower end. If there’s anything you think is missing then just add those options.

2024 Raptor with Leather. Seats have held up really well to beach trips, 3 GSDs and a 10 year old on a swim team (lots of water and sand). No issues with them being too cold or too hot (I do have tinted windows and a tinted windshield) and the seat heater seems a bit much on max BUT once you have the top and doors off on a chilly morning, you understand why lol.

Your mostly vinyl comment is unfortunately absolutely correct. Here is a pic of the breakdown, and the cracking I experienced on my last Bronco
