I've never noticed any 'intelligence' to my wipers - they're either on or off. I have a Luxe trim - so I'd think I'd have them.
We all have the stupid Advanced Wipers and I have experienced the issue. When you are in heavy rain with the wipers on high they will just switch to intermittent on their own, which is stupid and dangerous. You have to toggle them off high to get them to work. I am glad that is finally fixed. I just had my software update yesterday, so fingers crossed that it works

Customer Satisfaction Program 23B35 has been issued, just received the letter a couple of days ago. Addresses this issue it's a software issue that dealer will update

I have had the wiper "update" from the CSP noted in post 78 above completed. The issues seems to have gone away so if you have not had that software update yet, get the dealer to do it on the next visit there. Took less than 10 minutes to complete, and even better the mobile service crew came to my place of work to get it done.
