Today my outside temp gauge started showing the wrong temp. It’s stuck at 47 degrees when in reality it’s about 67 degrees out.
anyone else have similar issues?
many easy fix?

Mines always been about 5 degrees too warm but nothing like that. Sounds like you have a bad sensor, maybe try reseating the electrical connector.

How would I do that?
I did unplug it and plug it back in but didn’t change anything.

It died off when asked how to rest it.
I noticed that. I would pull the negative cable for 10 minutes then see what happens, but it sure would be nice to know if it requires Ford to do it.

I really hate this world full of "every little item is computer controlled and must be mated to the computer by the dealer first before it will function" taxes.

Right. It’s annoying.
I’ll pull the negative cable and see if that works.

I did that. Still showing wrong but will drive and see if it allows it to reset.
I’m hopeful. Don’t want to waist a day at ford dealing with something like this.

Had the opposite. Mine showed 100+ degrees when it was 40 out.

It's literally like a $5 part, either go for warranty repair or do yourself.
Did it need any programming or was it just unplug old and plug in new.

I noticed that mine takes a full 20-30 minutes sometimes to update the temperature of whatever it was when I start it up in the morning but it does eventually display the correct temp. Is it possible yours is the same

I’ll see if it updates on my next drive. My issue is the HVAC isn’t working well because it thinks it’s cold outside.

Same, super simple replacement for a poorly made sensor.

Not for my truck it didn't. I disconnected battery before doing (per @flip just in case). Changed sensor, hooked battery back up and it was fine.
