Is ambient lighting just footwell lighting?

Does the Bronco even have footwell lighting?? Do any of my cars have footwell lighting?? Do cars even come with footwell lighting?? I am so confused... I guess it's time for a trip to the driveway.

Yes, looks like what's pictured above. You find the on/off for it in SYNC under lighting.

Alright driveway report: Mine is turned off in the Sync settings... but still works despite being turned off.

Side note: All of my vehicles have footwell lighting and I have never noticed until just now.

Mid package and up should have ambient lighting. But yeah I think it’s just the footwell area

This is an issue as mine always turns itself off also. Not really super concerned about it, but it is an annoying glitch

Exactly… need a petition to fix All Electrical Issues including life threatening shutdown of critical systems as well other conveniences!!!

Of my list of things Ford should fix, footwell lighting is pretty far down.

If they are never pressured to fix the little things they'll never care about fixing anything.

That said, if Ford releases an update to fix this, I wonder what will act up from the new update (aka one door closes, another 10 open with their updates it seems lol).

The interior lighting as a whole on the Bronco sucks, period. I’m a simple guy. Just want a decent done light.

This too has randomly happened requiring me to reenable the option within sync. Signed.

I'll have to look at the manual today and report back but I also recall seeing a feature that puddle lights will illuminate as you approach your locked Bronco such as in a parking lot etc. but does not work on my Bronco. My wife's Lincoln has this feature that helps identify your vehicle at night from a distance and illuminate the immediate area beneath and around the doors. Not just a gimmick but I great safety feature IMO.

This has been a bug since Sync2 (Sync with MyFord Touch). My 2012 Edge did this every time Sync did it's cleanup reboot.

Yup, 2013 F150 Limited ambient lighting reverts it's color back to turquoise no matter how many times you change it. Over a decade of ambient lighting bugs. Ford ain't gonna fix shit.

I’ve never noticed the ambient lighting. I guess I’ll have to see if it’s even turned on.
