Unless you are a desert racer... or... just need the affirmation of having a bigger engine... I don't see the point - other than it will sell - just because it has a bigger engine (of course).

The original F-150 Raptor SuperCab was ideal (as soon as they put the 6.2L V8 in it). Each iteration of the F-150 Raptor got heavier, fancier and they dropped the SuperCab, making it longer. I was drooling over the original Raptor. The current F-150 Raptor does not appeal to me.
I'm not interested in the Bronco Raptor. It looks like they won't be available in 2-door, and again, they loaded it with luxury options and weight.
I have a 2-door Badlands on order with a 2.3L I-4 and 7-speed manual. No fancy option packages. It will be my sixth Bronco. The previous five all had manual transmissions (the 5.0L/5-speed was the best). I live at 8300' ASL on a Colorado foothill, with a 0.7-mile dirt driveway that connects to a dirt county road. The basic Badlands will be perfect for me.

I'm a life long Ford guy, I really wanted to like it but this thing is just comically ugly. I don't care how capable it is or how many cool features it has, the exterior is a joke. I understand the form follows function thing but I would not drive something that ugly. I can't imagine what the Jeep guys are saying.

The regular one is too big already (compared to jeep, early Bronco, Toyota) and they make it bigger with this thing...no thanks! Oh and that is a lot dollars to go rip up if ya actually use it...

I'm intrigued by it. With some SAS fender flares, it would probably look pretty decent. But I probably won't get one. I would love the capability, but here in Florida, I won't be doing much rock crawling or Baja racing.

I love how people expected it in 2-door. A raptor with 15 usable gallons of gas tank space would be hilarious.
The raptor in general is annoying this early from ford...people are just getting their broncos. After market is coming out with awesome accessories to make their broncos the coolest thing on the road. And here comes this unreachable raptor that nobody but youtubers and the filthy rich will be able to get.
