This Video came out by Ford on YouTube and was curious how many of you would like to see this in the Bronco.

Personally, I am torn. I have always loved tech however my plan for this Bronco is for it to be with me for a long time. More tech just makes me nervous about things that could break. Plus, I honestly don’t know what the benefi is if I still have to focus just as much as if I took the wheel.

What are your thoughts?

I’ve never used a system like that but I would only really pay for the next level that can turn, change lanes, etc (ie Tesla)

It's basically the Pilot Assist system on my wife's Volvo but let's you fully take your hands off.

I'm a tech junky, so I'd be down.

I have a 30 minute each way commute so being able to get my afternoon nap in on the way home is a win for me!

I understand some of the benefits of tech like this but honestly I love the act of driving. I do my best to avoid traffic, and have a zero-mile commute, so maybe my opinion would be different in other circumstances.

But for the foreseeable future, give me the steering wheel, I got this.

Very cool tech, pass on having it on the Bronco though.

I saw somewhere that someone asked Mike Levine about this being on the Bronco and his response being along the lines of.... "Not yet". So it is possibly being considered as a future feature on all Ford's I am sure.

No way. We're a long way off from having the appropriate technology and infrastructure for hands free vehicles on anything. One New York pothole would be enough to prove that. A first start would be to have roads dedicated to hands free vehicles. The roads being used should be designed to provide feedback to the vehicles. "Tested on faded highway lines"??? Sounds scary to me. I wonder how insurance companies would view plans for this?

I’m philosophically opposed to any of these active (intrusive) driver aids. North America has terribly poor driver training and the focus should be on improving that. My opinion: if you can’t focus and operate your vehicle properly (check your blind spots, stay in your lane, focus on the road, etc.), you shouldn’t be driving.

Me too. I do have to commute 60km one way some days but it doesn’t bother me. And in the nearly 4 years of owning my F150 I’ve probably only used cruise control 4 times.
