Hello all just a quick question. I installed the new wheels yesterday on my 2021 obx and they didnt program the new tpms sensors. They are schrader 315htz ones

https://a.co/d/3D3axiZ

I put the truck into learn mode and used my programmer:

And i cant get them to read. I even tried the let air out technique but no dice.

As i read it looks like some people say you have to aftually use a programmer that hooks up to the obd port. Anyway im lost. Anyone ever have to go through this? Am i missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

These are the oem ford ones. Maybe im wrong for doing this but i've always gotten Schrader sensors as i feel like they are a consistently good quality and never had an issue ever, while i have had issues with oems and also the chinesium ones.

what i was really asking about was the learning process for a new sensor on these vehicles. The sensors i got are the correct htz, claimed to be preprogrammed and we listed as a correct replacement for oem.

With that all being said, after all the drama of me trying to get these to work yesterday in the rain, this morning, as i was driving i hit 50mph and the sensors all started reading. They are now working. i didnt have to do anything else to them. Its weird but hey, if its stupid and it works, it aint stupid.

Thank you for the input though, i appreciate it.

Provided they're the right frequency, just drive around for awhile. They should figure it out on their own.

They did change the frequency for the sensors for 2025 - so make sure you have the right ones if you had them changed or this is a new set of tires.

Thats a very good point. For a second i was worried about it but up until 25 they were 315htz so these are good. And after all that once i hit 50 mph they must have activated or talked to the truck or whatever sensors do but they are now working so im all good.

I don't even bother with aftermarket sensors plus that's a lot of counterfeits never had an issue with Ford sensors, plug and play. I got lucky with some take offs for 75$ when doing my second set of OBX wheels with Blizzak DMV2 in Sept.
