Excuse me bro, I’m a great grandpa. The spare will be just fine for life of the vehicle if you only use it for 25 miles max, just like a spare is intended to be used. Everything else is bs, just like the stories that some grandpas in this forum insist on such as doing first oil change the very first 1k miles.
Tell me you dont know anything about weather effects on rubber without telling me you dont know anythingI just do the 4 tire rotation that spare is going to last 20 years back there looking good, which is probably 5 years longer than the bronco will last. But you all do what you want
Were talking full size standard tire not a donut thats intended for minimal use. Even tho the spare may have good tread it will still dry rot over time from weather. Also what if someone intends to change tires and run a different brand or size? Then you have a mismatched spare or wasted money on a 5th tire. The spare will be just fine for life of the vehicle if you only use it for 25 miles max, just like a spare is intended to be used. Isn't it ironic... Someone asks a question and the gallery goes off with comments like "didn't you read the owners manual", etc.If people would read the owners manual they would see it clearly says 5 tire rotation with instructions. No excuse not to do it unless youre just cheap or lazy.

And on this topic? They are like: "Who cares what the owners manual says..."
Well, here is the quote from the owners manual:
"For the best tire life, a five tire rotation is recommended that includes the matching spare tire mounted on the back of the vehicle."
Nothing further needs to be said...
Tell me you don't know anything about 303 protectant, or this new invention a garage.Tell me you dont know anything about weather effects on rubber without telling me you dont know anything
303 is magic. I use it on everything.Tell me you don't know anything about 303 protectant, or this new invention a garage.
Rubber still ages. A lot states require tires to be replaced every 5-6yrs for them to pass their state inspections. Yes Im aware of 303 but its not a common product most stores carry. Its not recommended to put any kind of chemicals on a tire. And good for you on having a garage (I do too) but if youre like me and drive 18k mi a year its gonna spend more time out of than in.Tell me you don't know anything about 303 protectant, or this new invention a garage.
No kidding, I had over 50% tread life left on the tires on my Expedition when I sold it. Tires were 6 years old, heavily cracked, and probably unsafe to use on the freeway. (Wasn't going to spend money on tires when I was trading it for the Bronco)Tell me you dont know anything about weather effects on rubber without telling me you dont know anything
