OK, so I think we found the vehicle to get, it seems as though it’s gonna take a couple weeks to get to the dealer then to us. Got a question one of the things the salesman said that if we get a aftermarket trailer hitch installed that it could potentially void the warranty if we have a transmission issue, does anyone have experience with that or can offer some insight please. Also included in the window sticker was an over. , does anyone have experience with that or can offer some insight please. Also included in the window sticker was a over $700 charge for a seven year subscription to the ford whatever communications a gizmo, my question is is it worth it cause right now that’s not something I wanna pay for.
Thanks for your input

An aftermarket trailer hitch won't negate your warranty on your transmission.

The Navigation/Connectivity won't be able to be removed as it is part of the As Built options from the factory. You might be able to cancel the service after purchase by contacting Ford for a refund. But I doubt they will be willing as that is how the Bronco was ordered.

No, an aftermarket hitch will not have any impact on transmission or drive train warranty. Towing improperly, or beyond rated capacity, may, but the hitch itself does not. Be aware that if you choose to have an aftermarket hitch installed, you may still need the dealer to 'activate' the module so the lighting works properly.

The 7 year connectivity option is a fixed price. As mentioned, it's an option that was added in the original purchase order, so it comes with the vehicle. Long term, it saves you money if you will use the option and would have otherwise renewed annually. But if it's not something you want or will use, you'll want to search out a different vehicle.

Lastly, based on the little information you've presented, I would have concerns about doing business with that dealership or sales rep. Scare tactics and misinformation are huge red flags in my book.

Good Luck!

A tow hitch is not the same as making the vehicle towing capable. If you want a hitch for a bike rack, cargo platform or any other attachments then a hitch install is the ticket. Towing requires more than a hitch.

Some of the Ford connectivity stuff can be pretty useful, but most of it can be done just as well through something like CarPlay or Android Auto, so it's not really necessary. However, they're not gonna refund that, since it's part of the 'as built' and was ordered with the vehicle (even if a dealer ordered it).

As others have pointed out, just adding a trailer hitch won't void any warranty - but if you want to play it safe, order the Ford one and have the dealer install it and set up the wiring. That said, just adding a trailer hitch doesn't make a Bronco ready to tow - depending on what trim level/options you purchased, your tow rating can be as low as 3500 lbs and as high as 4500 lbs. I know, not a big window to play with in either case.

What are you planning on pulling with it? If you're looking for an RV to pull behind it, there are some very small ones that will work and keep you in your tow rating. If you're wanting to pull a 20' flatbed or equipment trailer loaded to the max, you're gonna be over your tow rating. If you're wanting an RV that'll comfortably sleep you, your spouse, and a couple kids, I'll all but guarantee you'll be over the tow rating and you're looking at the wrong vehicle.

Congrats on the new Bronco Purchase, hope you & Wife get the most enjoyment from it!
The communication package on purchase must be new... my 2025 Raptor came with 1 free year then needs to sign-up for monthly/annual subscription. They offer both a communication package and cellular package subscription.

I've utilized both subscriptions on my F450 and BRaptor. Some is very useful, I personally find the navigation system much faster than Phone / Apple or Android Play. You can open a Ford Owner account and go to the Communication Features Page and read up on them... and the listed support number for Ford or AT&T are helpful if you have additional questions.

If you get a Ford VISA CC...and put the subscriptions on that card, you also gain Ford Points and Visa Points. Little Perk!!
