Question about call from dealer

I placed my reservation a few days ago. I'm fine with a mid/late 2022 delivery. I am changing my reservation to Granger based on the experience ordering my wife's BS last night.

However.

This morning the salesperson at my local dealership called and told me they can convert my reservation to an order and I may get in on the MY21 builds but would be an early MY22 at worst. I asked how they can jump me ahead of people with much earlier reservation dates and he said, "that's what we were told this morning". He told me they have 550 reservations and have processed about 150 orders.

This just doesn't sound right. Maybe he wants to process the order with a 99 code to delay the build. I'm sure he knows the experience last night was not great and we were frustrated. Is he trying to protect the order?

Sounds like bologna.

He may actually believe he can bump you ahead... but there doesn't exist a way for them to actually do that.

Take your reservation to Granger.

Yeah they are either lying or he believes something that is not possible. Either way you're def not getting it anytime soon, go to Granger

I mean its possible, depending on what you actually order, that you could get your vehicle earlier than earlier reservation dates

Groove has proven to be shady and not understand the allocation process. Some of this was born out and documented in a spat with B6G members. I say switch to Granger.

On a positive, my wife got a build week for her BS set today.

My dealer called me yesterday too. I have a feeling they are not getting enough MY21 conversions at any dealer not willing to "deal", and the dealers offering x-plan equivalent, Stephens, Granger, etc. are further ahead / getting reservation changes.
