Yes I was told that I would receive a 6% discount on accessories.
Who told you that?

The 6% reduction for options and accessories is intended to be an estimate of the dealer invoice pricing vs. MSRP for options and accessories. When you order your vehicle with your dealer, the actual "dealer invoice" will be known, and it may or may not equal 94% of the MSRP for such items. But it should be close.

I realize you are attempting to dunk on @Montana Bronco, but rest assured, you are making yourself look foolish.
That is your opinion. I have built and bought enough brand new vehicles to know what I am talking about. ??‍♂

Please don't start shit about the manual transmission because you are upset about the automatic. It's a stupid complaint that undermines your argument.
The manual is no longer the standard transmission. The automatic is. So if there is going to be an up charge. It should be on the manual.

Your're trying to make a comparison to vehicles that do not offer a choice of transmissions. That doesn't make any sense.

LOL, the manual is the standard transmission. The automatic is optional. You're statement is nonsensical.

Basics getting ironed out, details yet to be finalized... I hope, and I understand during this challenging time. I appreciate Ford in delaying until it's all correct.

The manual transmission is available to order as soon as the 2021 order banks open. The ManSquatch is unavailable to order until the 2022 order banks open.

Why are you getting the information that the manual isn't available until 2022.5?!?

Full transparency, I still have my reservation and am likely to follow through to order but would like to share.

Here is my issue/concern and thoughts with the whole B&P situation.

B&P opened on 10/23. Almost immediately it was noted and brought to Ford’s attention that there were some potential errors to it. Rather than immediately go in and correct it, those errors were allowed to stay. Then almost two months later it was changed to correct the errors.

Yes, we all should know auto transmission doesn’t come free. Yes we know the B&P is just a tool. But it goes deeper than that.

This wasn’t an innocent oversight by Ford. If it was, the changes would have been made immediately in October when it was brought to their attention. Or Ford would have announced “a revised B&P will be released on or around....”

Instead this change (finally) occurred just days before Christmas, a week and a half before New Years and a few mere weeks before orders are set to open.

Funny how Ford won’t let you save the configuration and instead says “print it out”. See, they didn’t want us going back in to the B&P. They wanted us to print it and then stare at it on paper. This way they can slip in the corrections without much fanfare. Hence the ironic timing of the “correction”.

This is a tactic to allow buyers to get into a buyers mindset where mentally you feel you need that Sasquatch package. Or need that higher model. Then when you go to place the actual order, the extra cost becomes insignificant because mentally you already can see yourself wheeling around on those 35s or in that upgraded model. The wrench in Ford’s plan was when it became noticible to so many customers on December 20th.

That and only that is why Ford came back with “we are working to correct it”. It’s not because it takes additional weeks to correct the B&P, it’s because the HQ is figuring out damage control on the outrage.
It's true, I am no longer considering BB it went up, I'll opt for the OBX instead, the price difference is like $1K and I get extra stuff with OBX, I may even add 360 camera.

Does the 2.7 offer a choice in transmission?

My point and you might want to read this a couple of times, is that the manual transmission is no longer standard across Fords line up. The automatic is. The manual is no longer the standard across Fords line up. The automatic is. They had to develope the manual transmission for the bronco. They didn’t have to develop the automatic. ??‍♂

The 2.7 doesn't offer shit, it's a friggin' engine! You are spec'ing out a Bronco. If you want the 2.7, you have to upgrade to the 10AT. Simple as that!

You are not buying Ford's entire lineup, LOL! You are buying a model that does have a choice of transmissions. On the Bronco, the 7MT is standard and the 10AT is optional. Is this that hard to understand?!?

It's an interesting theory, but it doesn't completely add up. Mainly because the price change/error/correction for the automatic transmission wasn't complete across the board. The OBX (obviously) didn't change in price. No other models with the manual changed price. It seems a weird way to go about it when the change only affected a specific configuration (upgrading both the engine and transmission). If one was going to set expectations and later up-sell, one would want to do that for everyone.

I think this was a stupid pre-launch build-and-price screw-up. I can't answer why it would take so long to fix it, but I consider that a part of the screw-up. Not excusable, but not a conspiracy, either.
