What are your thoughts on Crimson Tide?

Decent movie from an entertainment perspective, though the dog roaming around the boat was a bit too much. Unfortunately, the prospect of a rogue CO was too much for lawmakers and we had to change several procedures and security systems just to make them happy. Probably cost the Navy as much money as the movie made.

Yeah, I moved to San Antonio after I retired so I don't have much interaction with other sub sailors. You were Sonar too?

Yes. I made 9 pretty quickly and jumped ship to become a CWO. Huge hit to prestige while active, but W-4 pay > E-9 pay.
