So yes, I do love the suspension on our Raptor, but I gotta say, the 5 mile test drive was no where near as good as it could have been. I had a theory that the tires were a bit high and confirmed it once I figured out the TPMS screen (so many screens on this thing!).

Ours were set to 44psi cold and that is just way too high. The recommended (right on the screen) is 38. I lowered them to 40 (knowing we had some cold weather coming) and the difference was stark. The sharp edges of all bumps are gone and the improvement over our old Jeep 392XR that was running at 38psi on its 35's, was stark.

Not sure if this was just mine, or if all are shipping over inflated, but check your tires folks.

38psi is still way too high. You should try 32psi on them 37's.

My Raptor was in the 42 range, but when I got my Badlands it was around 46. Definitely need to check it at delivery.

I run minimum 40 PSI. Once they warm up they are in the 45 range, according to the onboard system.

Do you mind explaining how this test works and what it looks for? I know I have heard of it, but can't remember the specifics.

Thank you in advance!

I think all are overinflated when new. Door says 39psi which is what I did, until, I read up on the chalk method. Now I run 33psi

100% do the chalk test.

Mine were at maximum inflation pressure. I wasn't sure if that was the factory who did that, or the dealership. Inflating tires to the max helps prevent flat spots when sitting.

I too noticed on the test drive they felt overinflated.

Manufacturers always overinflate the tires for shipping to prevent flat spots. Dealerships are supposed to air them down as part of their PDI but it often gets overlooked.

Thank you for putting in the work. My Bronco Raptor’s tires were factory set at 42-44. World of difference now at 35psi. So much better ride feel thanks again!
