Hey Crew- I was wondering if there was a consensus on the best USA fab’d synthetic winch line?

I want to replace a steel cable with a synthetic (on two different vehicles) but I want to work with a company that can help put together a correct kit for several different vehicles.

In total I have 3 different platforms that I want to work up recovery solutions for. I want to figure out the most effective, economical way to do it. There may be some pieces of gear (like a snatch block or ring) that may be interchangeable between rigs and others that are not, depending on the vehicle.

Any suggestions as to the best places to start would be appreciated. I’m totally out on non USA manufacturers or those that simply import from overseas. I want a thoughtful setup.

Thanks!

Are GearAmerica or Rhino USA reputable? I’ve found their product on Amazon, and they claim to be US manufacturing companies but I just don’t know enough about synthetic products…

Ok- thanks! I’ll try to make some calls to these folks tomorrow. I knew Factor55 made the recovery points- don’t know why I didn’t think that they made the rope/shackles to go with them 🤷🏼‍♂️

I have a Smitty Built 9500 that I change from the steel cable. I have used the cable I bought from Amazon multiple time and it performed great.

Thank you- I have decided given my low use rate to go with the Harbor Freight Badlands Apex winches. They consistently get a ton of great reviews and I have never had an issue with them myself.

So I need to re-spool a small ATV winch rated for 3500lbs and a large 12,000lbs one on my overland 2500HD rig.

If I’m investing in high end gear I want to be able to also have a kit option for the Bronco, either A) bc I may end up adding a winch to it in the future, or B) bc well-intended people with their own recovery gear very likely have sub par equipment and that’s even more dangerous.
