Has anyone seen any info on rear seat configurations without removal? Like, can the seat cushions fold UP so that my dog can ride in the backseat without being ON the seats?

Love the MGV, a little nervous about toenails poking holes in it tho.

Seems like that's exactly how they fold:

Whenever I see this clip I'm dumbfounded all over again about the 2-door load floor. And the few images Ford has put out always has stuff on the floor visually minimizing that 4" step.

This is about as non-functional as it gets.

A little hyperbolic, don't you think? The seats fold flat (as in fully horizontal).

Here are things that would be less functional than what exists now:
  • Rear seats that fold forward, but not flat.
  • Rear seats that do not fold forward at all.
Any way that results in seats that fold flat and level with the cargo area would reduce interior volume (the cargo floor would be 4" higher) or the entire body would have to be raised over the frame to let the seats fold down into the floor.

I'm sure the aftermarket will make some sort of shelf that you can install to get a flat cargo area, similar to the option on the 4-door with the slide out tray. Or you can just remove the rear seats.

Found this in the ⚡ blue 1st edition thread from last week. Good look at some of the bolts for rear seat removal. Can’t really see all of them but whatever. Hopefully it will be zip zip zap zap, done.

EDIT: this is the 2D

I take seats out of vehicles all the time to do leather installs at work. Guaranteed it'll be easy. Rear cushions on 2 door flip forward, most likely 2 bolts each. Backrests would come out separately, no more than 4 bolts/nuts per side.

*This is one thing that's good about 2 door wrangler is the rear seats are quick release. However rear headroom & legroom in 2 door Bronco is probably better as a result
Any guesses as to the the rear seat removal on the 4 door?

IIRC, that's for the seat bottoms; backs will be trickier
Yeah, I need to see them to know which ones I want out to fold flat and leave the seat wells open. I thought just the bottoms, now not too sure from seeing pics.

My guess is that it would be similar to Wrangler 4 door rear seats seeing as they fold down similarly.
A couple bolts on the front legs under the cushion, then you can flip the cushion up to access bolts under the backrests. Another 2 behind the seats in the cargo area and bingo
