Reservation vs order date

I reserved bronco back in July 2020. But I just made an order last month on June 2021.

Will receive my car based on my reservation date or my order date?

Based on commodity constraints, and to a lesser degree your reservation date ……..your order date wouldn’t normally be a factor at all, except that it’s so late in the game.

Neither... they really are only sorta yoked to your scheduled build week.

So, for instance, what appears to have been done is that many people had orders close on on the same day (e.g. 03/20/2021) and it appears that based on when that person reserved may have had some impact on where in the queue they were stacked for all the orders closed that day. They were then batched and nominally assigned to a build week.

As the build week approaches, they then get assigned to a specific date (in general in the same order), this is when the sticker appears to drop (roughly a week prior to the actual build - in most but not all cases).

Around this time is when they also appear to be assigned to transportation for delivery - think of this as the rough equivalent of buying a ticket on a plane... it doesn't mean that the flight won't be over-booked or that you will make it past TSA (or QA in this case).

It has been stated that builds go by 1) dealer allocation 2) constraints, and 3) reservation time stamp. Right now it feels like 2-2-2...
