the roof rack is rated at 100lb. then how does it work when they sell a two person tent for the roof, the weight of the tent plus two people and they could be two big people could be 500lb. or more.,

im a contractor i load up my roof racks on my truck all the time why is the weight different between moving and standing still.100 lbs is the dynamic limit when driving. Static limit will be much higher.

your rack likely has similar limitations. It doesn’t mean it will fail but it could and In accident that stuff is gone.
