Wow Good Catch I Wouldn't Want To Be Caught In An Emergency Stop Situation In The New Ford Bronco If That's The Size Brakes Their "Engineers" Think Is Okay!!!
This. For anyone reading this out there, the brakes will probably be just fine. No need to worry. Ford has built a truck or two before.

If any of you haven’t spent any time driving on 35” tires, I think you’re in for an awakening. The brakes will be fine, but I suggest taking it easy till you get used to the handling.

I sincerely hope there aren’t a bunch of new Squatch Bronco owners piling into the car in front of them....

Do you pups even know what drum brakes are? Those brakes will be fine.
With no power assist on top of that and you get some real driving excitement!

The best guess scaling looks like the rotors are 11" diameter. I've previously posted this graphic in several similar threads.

Well, my Fleetline has huck brakes. Do any of you old(ish) dogs remember huck brakes? Or are you still all about your fancy-dancy drum brakes and your clever-as-a-fox brake boosters?

  • Huck brakes: Might get that 1 good stop in, best to have your mother on speed dial for the paramedics
  • Drum brakes: guaranteed to get 1 good stop in, make it count
  • Disc brakes: WTF are you guys worrying about? Maybe don't drive like it's a rocket ship?

From the looks of the warthog pics you can see the rotor is a bit larger in how much of the wheel they fill. My plan is to keep it simple and swap warthog brakes onto my Badlands.

Since the WH is also a factory Ford I would assume the electric e-brake and everything else will be accounted for. I also agree in adding some braided hoses either to the factory brakes and/or WH upgrades.

All that said the brakes will be fine for a majority of driving. Is it going to brake like a track ready Cayman S...no. You are not going to push the peddle and have no stopping power at all either.

I hope you all aren’t expecting super good braking performance on 35” tires that aren’t street oriented
