8500 miles 2.3 10 speed. Lifetime mpg hovers around 17.6-17.7 so says the onboard computer.

Edit: This is a 4 door Sas BlackDiamond

What are people seeing the MPG on these to with the 10spd Auto? Is the 2.3 only getting 2mpg more?
Edit— I have a 2.7. That was an important part.

I have an OB with 33” 265/70/18 A/T tires and I’m getting about 17 avg around town (DC area, lots of stop and go). During a recent 2500 mile road trip I calculated approx 20 mpg avg highway. Probably more like 19-20 mpg.

2D Badlands 2.7l with 6500 miles. Running around in town in normal mode, highway driving in Eco mode and have no trouble getting 19.7mph consistently. Driving into a heavy head wind will kill it though.

So it looks like there is very little if any MPG gain with the 2.3L vs the 2.7L. I was looknig at the 2.3L if it saved gas but if not. I'll just go 2.7L.

2.3 auto SAS 8000 miles 18.8 mpg. Over 70 mph drops the mpg exponentially.

I drive pretty conservatively. 2.7 sas 2D, lifetime 18.9. 4800 miles. If doing a lot of Highway, 20.5 is about typical. I leave it in 4A normal 90% of the time. Sport occasionally.

4D Badlands 2.3 (not SAS, but very similar suspension). I get 17-18 MPG (hand calculated - not from the lie-o-meter). I drive it like I stole it.

Highway MPG is only good if I'm 55 MPH or under...not gonna happen. My 1998 TJ got better gas mileage than this. But the Bronco is way more fun!
