Seat already tearing/cracking

Less that 7K on the odometer and already have a crack. Granted I am only 5"10 and new this would eventually be a wear point. But not this soon. Anyone know if it is covered by warranty?

It should. It doesn’t look like wear and tear. It looks like an abnormality.

I have 20k on my seats and have a car seat in the back row and haven't seen anything like this on my truck. I would guess that it is a fault in the material.

OPs is MGV. On the leather trimmed seats that panel is vinyl anyway.

Looks like it may have got caught on the plastic seat handle/ trim while the handle was being used. This shouldn’t happen IMO. The material is plain cheap on most of the Bronco interior. Don’t run a fingernail over any of the plastic either it’ll be scratched forever. Don’t get me wrong I like my bronco but for a vehicle north of $50k better materials could have been used.

Yes, MVG. I checked the passenger side seat and don't see any cracking there. Which, every passenger is shorter than I am, so I would have expected the same wear.

Gonna call the dealer and make an appointment. Will let you all know if they cover it.

I couldn't agree more. The fact that the plastic is so hard and cheap drivers me insane. Sometimes I am tempted to pull out all the plastics and spray bedliner on it. Especially in the back where the dog lives.

Next time you’re in the Bronco lift up on the handle and see if it’s making contact. I’d bet the back of the handle is pretty sharp.
