Probably beating a dead horse here but here I go. My MIC top (drivers side) kept making a poping & cracking sound every time I hit the slightest little bump. My solution white lithium grease. Been 3 weeks not a sound out of the MIC top. Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞. Took about 3 minutes of my time, top off spray pins put top back on. No big deal if I have to do it once a month or so. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone having same issue as I did.

Try heat shrink tubing on the pins.

Heat shrink tubing is the cure. Fast and simple fix.

Lube is even faster. A q-tip dab on all the locating pins last December and haven't heard a peep since. Don't even need to remove the panels, just unclip them, pop them up just enough for the locating pins to clear their hole, dab lube, and done.

I used super lube, cause I have it and it's clear.
