Yes, the only way I could get around that was to purchase out of state and live in the Motor home for 90 days there before bringing it back to Calif to register. Still have to pay tax and register in the state of purchase, not worth the effort.taxes are done in the state the buyer resides (registers vehicle) regardless of the state they buy in.
