Long time lurker, first time poster…picked up my ‘24 OBX last Fall and am loving it. What a fun truck. I opted for the shadow black hardtop, which was brand new at the time. I still have not seen one other shadow black top in Metro Detroit but have a feeling that might change once the 2025s start showing up.

Completely Jealous
I blame Ford, but they don't care, and they make it impossible to upgrade, plus the idea of starting over really sucks, too much work went into my current Bronco.

I love the look of the mod top, and I would love to see a decibel reading comparison between the two tops. Although I suspect there is little to no difference or Ford would use that as a selling point.

I wonder how much of difference there is in cabin noise between the mod tops and the mic tops.
What difference lurks between the two tops ... the shadow black knows. ;)

These look great. I’m holding out hope Ford discontinues the MIC for ‘26 so when I warranty mine I can get the MOD as the MIC will be gone.
Even the ‘24 models like mine and my friends have the classic cracking all over the MIC. I bet the ‘25 MIC will also. Ford just keeps doubling down on this bad MIC top.

Glad these great looking shadow Blacks are finally here.

Jealous as well. Love the gloss black top over the MIC. Although when I’m off-roading and a tree branch scrapes my MIC, I know it’s likely ok vs what the gloss black top would likely incur.

I had a ‘21 Wildtrak on order with the shadow black top and was forced to lose it given all the top issues. Ordered on in ‘24 with the top but the price increases and low trade in value prohibit this move.

maybe I’m just bitter, but I actually don’t like the gloss black top or fender flares. They take all the rugged look away, and idk why but it just reminds me of a glossy candy apple.

I just wish the MIC flares and top were actually black.

Have viewed in person both the white and gloss black mod tops and have yet to see one that hasn’t been perfect .Truly make any bronco appear way more premium , Unfortunate it took so long to become available in more trims . They do make any bronco with the mic look like an entry level base model .

I was hoping they'd keep the removable back windows on this top, like the HE's had. Oh well.....

I'm more curious about the construction of the top under the shadow black exterior layer. Is it still reisen and cardboard like the MIC or fiberglass like a jeep top? Is it just white paint on the inside or different materials in construction?
