The MIC top on my ‘24 OBX was already cracking at just 1200 miles so I too hope I can get the MOD top eventually! Not holding out to buying it from Ford though…

Agreed.
More imporantly, the fact that the Jeep hardtop costs, $3,240.90.

Ford needs to get that part cost more realistic as it is obvious that I will be purchasing a new top before Ford fixes the one I have. They are taking my money one way or another, they should stop being such ****s about it.
Hey the price of eggs has gone up a lot, so nobody makes egg cartons anymore. Supply and demand baby, it's that simpleAgreed.

yes...seen both in person, love the black color, but not the glossy look, will be hard to keep clean, like a black painted car/truck, looks great ,but hard to keep clean...black with the mic look, yes....Way too shiny for my taste, O actually prefer the MIC look. But as long as you love it who cares...
The only frustrating part I have with mine are the finger prints from taking off the panels lol. I love the black painted look, but I don't wash mine very often so the NM dust dulls the gloss LOLLooks good in grey too. I just got around to taking pics of mine.![]()

My guess is they wanted a substantial reduction in weight. The Jeep freedom panels are notably heavier than the Bronco's. But they can also take punishment, unlike the Bronco ones which will be compromised by the first contact with a branch. I fully expect that I will have to shell out serious money for a hard top replacement within a few years after the warranty expires (Ford is replacing my current one under warranty). I would never give Ford $$$ for a guaranteed piece of crap. Why Ford didn’t use Jeep’s hardtop vendor to begin with is beyond me. Way too important of a component to go a different route on. Honestly not sure if they are now using Jeep’s vendors but they certainly look the same now.
We recently test drove two Raptors. One had the MIC and washout floor, the other had the new MOD and carpet floor. I could carry on a conversation with the 2nd row passengers in the one wiht the MOD roof and carpet. Couldn't say the same with the MIC and washout floor. I'm sure both option difference attributed to it - but it was a noticeable difference.I wonder how much of difference there is in cabin noise between the mod tops and the mic tops.
