Tried rebalance and didn’t work. I I don’t feel it in the steering wheel or floorboard. I literally feel it in my ears. Pulsating noise almost like sitting next to a bass speaker.
Turn on recirculating air. Some have complained about buffeting being worse than others from the cowl.

tongue weight drags the ass end down, therefore whatever is rubbing is hitting the suspension, I would check for the exhaust vibrating and hitting something or a driveshaft bushing.

There may just be some extra buffeting when towing. Just a thought here. Think the trailer could be affecting the air pressure behind it? Wouldn't explain anything without the trailer though.....I know someone is gonna call me stupid here but they probably never tried drafting behind a tractor/trailer....😉

Good call here but wouldn’t Ford have checked that in the shop? This feels like the first thing they would have checked.

OK - so my thinking is you have air coming in or leaking out somehow. It may be the tops. I think the vent under the spare mount is worth checking too.

Does the “thumping” change or disappear when a window (or two) is rolled down?

I’m about 300 miles in.
If it isnt balance or mechanical issues, then all you got is wind buffeting. Try with the top open and see what it does at speed. Then go from there.

A little bit but it is still undriveable above 45 or 50 even with windows open

Can you try two more tests, remove the roof panels and test drive it. Second, remove the rear roof section completly and test drive it.

At first it sounded like a rock in a tire, a thumping sound that followed wheel speed. The more I listened to it I realized it wasn’t a rock, and the sound only happened on decel or coast with no throttle input. Any throttle input would make the sound stop. There was never a vibration that I could feel. I thought it was something stupid like a dry slip joint in a driveshaft or a bad u joint.
I was a little surprised when they told me the locker clutch was bad. The sound started immediately, unfortunately I had the B&O system cranked for the first 50 miles or so. 100 miles on it as it sits right now.
There is no clutch in the diff if you have a locker. A limited slip may have a clutch.

I’m just going to get rid of it. It’s a total POS. If anyone wants a Bronco and is willing to get it in Austin let me know
