Does anyone have suggestions for a skid plate for the badlands rear trailing control arm. The JCr one I ordered does not seem to fit . I looked at the ASFIR one and it also does not fit the badlands

Hi @Victorsen. Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but I was curious to know what year your Badlands is? I noticed you don't have the (thin) factory skid plate welded to your control arm mount. Did you remove it, or is that how it came?

Thanks I posted the wrong pic yes I have a 23 bronco badlands . And I am looking to protect the lower trailing arm. I had ordered a jcr rear lower trailing arm skid and does not fit not wide enough because it seems the stock has the welded factory skids. I checked Rancho and ac-fab called them and confirmed it won’t fit either. As stated ASFIR doesn’t fit either . I was looking at Foutz and they are substantially more so I want to confirm before I ordered. I tried to call them but could not get hold of their tech team.

Foutz makes some excellent stuff. Some of their Raptor and Bronco parts are works of art!
I just looked at the Carli ones and asked them if they would work with the "factory" skids that Badlands have (don't know if any others do)

The Foutz are $$$ at almost $500, the Carli's look promising except that they don't have the UHMW.

That Foutz one is pretty slick, hopefully it will work for you.

That mount looks completely different than my '21 BD that has the factory thin skids. They must have changed the design later in the model years. Mine looks like an obvious tacked on piece.

You get what you pay for. This is like every other hobby - expensive! Foutz Motorsports usually tests all their stuff before releasing them to the public. I rate them right up there with SVC. I run their tie rods. Their tie rods are $1K.

Did Carli say it works on a badlands. I am just looking to hide scrapes and have already protected most of the other parts that get snagged when you off-road on the woody, rocky, narrow north east trails. A arm, rear shocks, diff etc.

I have confirmed that Foutz works on the badlands. It is an expensive bit of kit. It seems this is the only option if one wants to protect the lower control arms. Unless the Carli works, waiting for response.

This is what my 2023 badlands looks like... OP is missing the badlands skids.

OP Do you have full steel skidplates everywhere else from the factory? or are you missing other pieces too?

OP said above that they posted the wrong pic. Their Badlands has the factory skids welded to the mounts.

Seems like Foutz is the only one that will fit.
